Zurich, 26 March 2026 – Lockton, the world’s largest independent insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Patrick Häusler as Head of Business Development for Lockton Switzerland.
Patrick is based in Zurich and will work closely with colleagues in Switzerland, the wider region, London, and the US to grow the business and bring Lockton’s global capabilities to the Swiss market.
Patrick has more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry and knows the market from a wide range of perspectives – from underwriting to strategic distribution leadership. He was previously Head of Distribution Switzerland for Liberty Specialty Markets and served on Generali’s sales leadership team for more than 15 years.
Stephan Bachmann, CEO, Lockton Switzerland, said: “Patrick will bring new insights to our growth strategy in Switzerland following the formation of our offices in Zurich and Geneva last year. He will add to the strong team we have built on the ground and lead our strategy to find new multinational and large national clients.”
Lockton announced the expansion of its presence in Switzerland with new offices in November 2025. The move reflected a deliberate investment to be closer to clients and deliver specialist services for large companies with complex, cross-border and domestic risks. Lockton’s long-standing partnership with Funk remains an integral part of its growth strategy, ensuring continued collaboration across shared clients.
